Today, on this World Day of Peace*in the Catholic Church, I’m reminded of the beautiful gifts I’ve been given. I was able to spend the day with my family. We attended mass, ice fished, made snap circuits, ate cookies, constructed a lego house and read books. Not every family is able to do those things – especially in a peace-filled place.
My children laughed and played today. My husband did something he loves to do. I watched these things happen, as their mother and his wife. This New Year I hope to remember that peace is a gift.
