The Lord’s Prayer

Today was filled with many happy blessings – a visit with a friend and her two beautiful children, and then supper with two aunts, an uncle, two cousins and my brother.  My cousins, my brother and I are the 4 youngest grandchildren of my paternal grandparents. We’ve always had a special connection and it was great to see them.  Good food and good company always go well together and my uncle never fails when it comes to a good meal.  Ayla said Grace.  Tonight she prayed the Lord’s Prayer. I think it is what we all need to hear.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13
