Dreams

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Langston Hughes

Today’s Tempo Tuesday is the poem “Dreams” by Langston Hughes. I was with a group of women today. We went around the table – “What is your dream?” The majority of us had a hard time answering that question.  It’s not something I think about often, if at all.  I haven’t been asked that recently, either.  Now that I’ve been asked, I think I need to figure it out.  I have some desires and small goals – are those dreams? I know that the Hope I carry with me can help create dreams and can help make them come true.

“Hope and dreams are like the sun and the moon
Without hope our dreams remain in the dark.” ~ Marinela Reka
