This Saintly Saturday is about Saint Martha, the “busy” sibling who performed household duties. She was a faith-filled follower of Jesus (John 11:25-27). Martha was open to Jesus’s mission to be the Savior of the world. She is the patron saint of cooks, housewives, servants and waiters/waitresses.
As a mom, I am constantly busy performing household duties and serving others, like Martha. It is easy to get caught up in this “busy-ness.” I have to remember to slow down, to enjoy, to live. Moms, new and experienced, take time to live and listen to Jesus.
